This December, classes for The STAND Foundation’s Edward Coleman Leadership Institute began in El Dorado, kicking-off the community’s fall training session.
On Thursday, December 11, The STAND Foundation held the first 2014 ECLI session at South Arkansas Community College in El Dorado, Arkansas.
The class offered a variety of creditable speakers eager to discuss the curriculum topics in understanding leadership, personal goal setting, organizational skills, communication skills, ethics and integrity, appearance, and healthy lifestyles.
Speakers for the session included image consultant, Patricia McCullough; Arkansas Department of Career Education Rehabilitation district manager, Shaylon Ware; and founder of The STAND Foundation Inc., Tracy Steele.
A total of 29 participants took part in the session. The class is a part of STAND’s leadership training at higher education institutions, sponsored in part by the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, Delta Regional Authority, Murphy Oil Corporation, and Corporation for National and Community Service. The second session for El Dorado will be held Thursday, January 22, 2015, on the SouthArk campus.
The STAND Foundation Edward Coleman Leadership Institute is a five-month adult leadership development program supplemented by online assignments. A graduation follows the training.
