Little Rock Second Session

The Little Rock Spring Leadership Class of The STAND Foundations Inc. Edward Coleman Leadership Institute, held the second session on Friday, June 12, 2015. The class was held at the Clinton School of Public Service.
The leaders came together for guidance from distinguished speakers and many team building exercises. Amy Baldwin, Director of University College at University of Central Arkansas, spoke to the leaders about professional goal setting, continuing education, decision making, and creative problem solving techniques. Shaylon Ware, ACE Rehabilitation District Manager, covered lessons involving expectations in the workplace, teamwork-office dynamics, and work ethics. The leaders also recieved important information about personal finance, planning, budgeting, and investing from Eric Britt, Financial Consultant at TIAA-CERF.
The class is a part of STAND’s leadership training at higher education institutions, sponsored in part by the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, Delta Regional Authority (in select areas), and the Corporation for National and Community Service. The third session for Little Rock was held Friday, July 10, 2015, at the Arkansas State Senate Chamber.
